Care groups

We all experience difficult seasons in our lives. God uses each to shape us in distinct ways, and He designed the church to be the community we need around us during these times. All of us are dependent on Christ for our emotional health, growth for our relationships, and healing.

Adoption & Foster Care

Fellowship offers support to our adoptive and foster care families through our Chosen Children ministry. Whether you are currently an adoptive or foster parent, beginning to take your first steps in this process, or are interested in learning how you can support this community, we would love to partner with you!

We also offer a support group for women who are fostering, have adopted, or are waiting to adopt. This group aims to support, pray for, encourage, and point each other towards Christ in this lifelong journey of caring for children from hard places.  The content stands alone week to week, so we encourage anyone to come whenever they are able.

DivorceCare & DivorceCare for Kids

DivorceCare’s support groups welcome people and guide them on the path of recovery after separation or divorce. When everything feels chaotic, DivorceCare’s structured approach provides stability. It helps you organize your thinking and manage your emotions. Each group is built around three main parts that work together to provide the most effective healing experience: video, group discussion, and a participant book for practical application.
  • Fellowship is not currently hosting this group. Please click here to find the DivorceCare group closest to you.

If your kids are angry, hurt, or confused about your separation or divorce, DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) support group is a safe, fun place where your children can learn skills that will help them heal. DC4K groups blend, games, music, stories, videos and discussion to help kids process the divorce and move forward. Groups meet weekly and are designed for children ages 5-12.

Encouraging Veterans

All veterans are welcome to join this unique group of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines of ALL generations. Our hope is to simply connect veterans with veterans and together discover ways to live out the gospel, encourage, and invest in each other through our common life experience.  Encouraging Veterans meets the third Sunday of each month at 11:00 am in the Counseling Conference Room.

Grief & Loss

Grieving the death of someone you love can be extraordinarily difficult and painful. If you are grieving a loved one and desire a safe place to navigate your loss, we invite you to participate in a care group for grievers. The Grief & Loss group offered by the Biblical Life Counseling team will explore the complexities of grief, provide connection with fellow grievers, and stir hope for the future.
  • If you would like to be notified when registration opens for this class, please contact Karen Moore.

GriefShare is national organization offering a safe, welcoming place through support groups where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) provides hope, through education and support, to parents of addicted loved ones. Each meeting includes an educational component that offers tools for participants to use, such as ways to help rather than enable, and a support component where participants interact, sharing what has worked – and has not worked – for them in their community.
  • Beginning January 9, this group will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm.
  • To register or request more information, please contact Vince & Karen Johnson.

Project Gabriel

Project Gabriel exists to support families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death by offering monthly support groups, individual relationships, and care through financial, emotional, and physical means.

Sensory Support

Sensory Support is an informal support group for moms who have a child/children with an extra need (sensory sensitivity, autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or any other physical/mental/emotional need). We gather to share, connect, support, and encourage one another while building community. Meeting together with others in similar situations can help remind us that we are not alone and can also be a wonderful place to share helpful resources. All are welcome!
  • This group meets twice monthly (one Monday morning, one Friday evening) throughout the school year.

  • This group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00am at Fellowship Church.
