Count the Cost

Jesus’ journey toward Jerusalem shows His unwavering obedience to the Father, and His encounters with the Samaritans, James and John, and three would-be disciples reveal that He will not conform to our expectations, timelines, comforts, or cultural obligations. As believers, we need to ask when our discipleship last cost us something and warns against treating Jesus only as Savior while resisting Him as Lord. Life with Jesus is worth the cost and everything we may have to lay down.
