Global vision week  •  OCTOBER 1-3

Global Vision Week is a celebration dedicated to highlighting the mission partners of Fellowship Church and how they are serving around the globe.  Every year we take a pause from our normal routine as a church and learn about what God is doing around the world.  This year we have an incredible line-up of events to help you and your family see how God is building his Kingdom outside our US borders.

International Film Festival

October 1  |  4:00pm - 8:00pm

On Sunday, October 1, our church building will be transformed into a movie theater for our International Film Festival. You will have the opportunity to attend the premiere of six films shot on location in Israel, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Mexico, and Africa. All these films were written, filmed, edited, and produced by staff and volunteers of Fellowship Church. Each film is vastly different and ranges from telling the human story to feeling like you are in the middle of a town square in Israel with a virtual reality headset. This night is designed for adults and kids with the goal of learning more about the countries we serve. Films will run from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, across the Fellowship campus. Be sure to stop by a concession stand during your visit to get the whole movie theater experience. We can’t wait to see you!

The Films

Safari

Al Croudace loves strolling with elephants, having dinner with barn owls, and guess what? Zebras and even playful baboons hang out in his backyard! He's the camp director at Lasting Impressions Wilderness Training in Zimbabwe, and he wants to take us on an adventure to meet some of his friends. He's about to show us the incredible ways elephants, zebra, antelope, and cheetahs can teach us how uniquely God created each of them—and us too! Get ready for a wild journey of learning and fun!

Encounter

Join Peyton and Kathryn in their unforgettable journey to Mexico on a Fellowship Church Encounter. Having never been to Tijuana, they stepped into the unknown. This film intimately shares their story—crossing the border, forging bonds with refugees, exploring a city built in a dump, and learning more about who God is. Experience the challenges and discoveries of where the Lord will take us when we step out of our comfort zone and follow Him.

eat it

Kyle Landis is on a mission to connect with our global partners and dive into their culture. And the best place to get to know someone is gathering around the table over a delicious dish. Join Kyle on a worldwide culinary expedition, forging friendships and savoring dishes like tacos in Tijuana and Sadza in Zimbabwe. Along the journey, he will grow a deeper understanding of the places we as a church are investing in and seeing the advancement of the Kingdom.

crossing the border

Every day, thousands of migrants cross the border in Tijuana, going from Mexico to the United States. In this mass migration, it is easy to forget there are stories behind every number. This film is about one family: a father, a mother, and two daughters. Gang violence forced them from their home in Southern Mexico. They found refuge in Tijuana, and are trying to seek asylum and legally make a new start in the United States.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 360°

What’s it like to stand on top of a volcano? Do elephants like to hang out with warthogs? How do they celebrate the New Year in Vietnam? What if there was a way we could answer these questions without setting foot outside of the building here at 8000 Middlebrook Pike? And even crazier, how fast can we do it? You don’t have to pack a bag to join us for this VR experience filmed by our IFF crew from the various destinations we visited around the world.

To continue a week of learning together, we will host two separate evening sessions with some of our missionaries from around the globe to discuss important issues they face in their every day life.

Stan & Tamera Johnson

Monday, October 2 at 7:00pm

Stan and Tamera Johnson are a Fellowship Church family who have dedicated their lives to serving the people of Nicaragua. They have a unique heart and passion to help strengthen and mend marriages, as well as to develop young adults into healthy disciples of Jesus. Join us on Monday, October 2 at 7:00 to hear more about how God has been using them in Nicaragua over the past decade.

Sara gomez

Tuesday, October 3 at 7:00pm

We will host a workshop led by our partner, Sara Gomez, from Tijuana Christian Mission. TCM is an orphanage with two campuses—one for teens and young adults and the other for children through middle school. We will hear of Sara’s experiences as she serves and ministers to orphans and widows in Tijuana, which is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the world.  Join us on Tuesday, October 4 at 7:00pm as we dialogue about this incredible ministry.
