The Zimbabwe Encounter is an advanced opportunity for people in the Fellowship Church body to experience firsthand what God is doing in Africa. Building on the Mexico Encounter, this second-level experience is longer, farther from home, and designed to stretch participants in new ways.

Participants will travel with Sue Dee, of Ebenezer Ministries, as she shares her passion to teach sustainable farming practices, quality business skills and entrepreneurship to local residents through Bak2Eden.  This team will also visit Lasting Impressions Camp, run by Al & Shelley Croudace.

Throughout the Encounter, we will explore gospel-formed questions surrounding race, government, creation care, orphan care, vocational training, and more. With multiple stops across Zimbabwe, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the global Church and see how God is at work through His people in a variety of communities and contexts.

Join us for this 12-day adventure and come prepared to be challenged, stretched, and encouraged as you experience the global Church in a way few other Fellowship trips offer.

Ebenezer Ministries began in 1996, existing to promote spiritual growth, understanding, and confidence in God through prayer, teaching, and encouragement. It is easy to think about caring for orphaned children when they are young – but what happens to them as they grow up?

Bak2Eden is a specialized program designed to bridge this gap during these transitional years. The vision is to teach practical farming techniques and life skills to support families for generations to come. These relationships offer opportunities to share the Gospel and disciple people into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

As you talk to Sue, you will soon understand her passion to teach sustainable farming practices, quality business skills, and entrepreneurship to local residents through Bak2Eden. She helps locals and visitors see God through nature in a way they have never experienced and to discover their true identities in our Father.

Shelley and Alistair Croudace have been co-directors of Lasting Impressions Christian Camp for almost 30 years. Lasting Impressions conducts educational, environmental, life skills, and leadership development camps for students across the country. The primary lasting impression they want each person to experience is that they are uniquely loved and valued by God and by their staff.

Zimbabwe has been experiencing a series of tough times, and often the youth have bleak views of the future. The Croudaces’ goal is to give them hope by introducing them to Jesus Christ and by equipping them with leadership skills, basic life skills, and a healthy respect for their environment. There is tremendous potential in Zimbabwe’s youth. Shelley and Alistair are uplifting them to make a difference.
