Joy in the City

This Sunday, RD continues our series on the Book of Acts. In Acts 8, the persecution of the early church had caused believers to scatter, which God used to spread the gospel. Philip brought the good news to Simon the magician and the Ethiopian eunuch. These encounters powerfully show us that the gospel is for everyone, even the outcast, and that God prepares hearts in advance to receive His Word. As believers, we must stay tender to the gospel, recover a sense of awe, and be embers ready for the Spirit’s fire—so that there may be more joy in our city and beyond.
