By the Spirit, Not the Letter

This week, Greg teaches from Romans 2:17-29. In these verses, Paul speaks directly to the Jews and reminds them that they have been given special knowledge from God and sinfulness comes from an action against knowledge. Because God's law came directly to the Jews from Moses, they were confident in the knowledge that they had and they were to be a light to those who didn't have the law. But, instead of accepting this with humility they became arrogant and did not share the light with others. Christ came to be the light that the Jewish people did not fulfill. The true mark of a member of the nation of Israel is not about a physical sign but about the heart in response to revelation.
