Biblical Justice

“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?”
Luke 18:7
God’s desire for justice is on display throughout the Scriptures, and He charges His people with its administration in Isaiah 1:17 - “Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”

Jesus firmly aligned Himself with the work of justice and reconciliation, not only spiritually with the news of the Gospel but also by calling out the injustices He saw. He calls us as His representatives to do the same.
